How to Bake Pork Steaks – Step By Step Instructions

Preparation

Preheat the oven at 400 degrees F. Then, cover a baking sheet with aluminum foil and set aside. Next, rinse and pat dry the pork steaks with a paper towel. Place the pork steaks on a plate or cutting board.

Season

Oil the pork steaks and generously sprinkle steak seasoning on each side. Place steaks on a baking sheet.

For marinating, place the pork steak to a mixing bowl and pour in the marinade. Stir to combine. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and marinate for at least 30 minutes.

15 minutes before baking, bring the pork steaks out from the fridge so it comes to room temperature. Arrange the pork steaks in a single layer on a baking sheet. Pour the remaining marinade juice over the meat.

Bake

Place the pork steaks on the center rack of the oven and bake at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes.

Then place the pork steaks on a baking sheet and broil for 2 to 3 minutes to create a crispy crust.

Tips : To prevent your pork steaks from sticking to the pan and making them difficult to remove, grease the broiling pan with some olive oil. You can also use a little foil to help lift them off after cooking. Avoid using parchment paper, as it can easily catch on fire when broiling. Broiling for more than 10 minutes can lead to burnt food or even a fire.

Alternatively, you can bake the pork steaks at a lower temperature of 325 degrees F. for 40 to 60 minutes or until the internal temperature of the steaks reaches 145 degrees F.

Serve

Insert an instant read thermometer probe into the center of each steak. The steaks need to reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees F. in order to be safe to eat.

Once the pork steaks have reached a temperature of 145 degrees F., remove them from the oven. Cover them with aluminum foil for 5 minutes to rest before serving.

Serve and enjoy!
