Hello and welcome! My name is Melissa, and I live in Northeast Ohio with two large and demanding cats that I love very much – Jake and Elwood.

While the cats often hang out in the kitchen with me (usually underfoot), I cook mainly for myself, my boyfriend, my family and my friends.

I started blogging a few years ago. It started a few years ago when some family and friends joined a local CSA (Community Supported Agriculture). They wanted a place to share different cooking appliances.

With this blog, I wanted to literally invite people into my kitchen and talk about what I really use to cook, whether it’s a big dinner on the weekend, or quick meals during the week that do double duty as dinner and lunch the next day.

I mostly use appliances that save me a lot of time and cooks highly tasty food at the same time. And I love sharing my best lists of appliances with my readers in this blog.

I love where I live – I’m close to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park area, and tons of local farms. In summer and fall, I get a CSA share from Basket of Life Farm, and throughout the year, I go to local farmers markets run by Countryside Conservancy. I’m also lucky enough to have a number of fantastic local wineries and breweries close to home that I take advantage of whenever I can!
